The Saban Free Clinic's Education and Outreach Department provides comprehensive sex education and alcohol and drug prevention education. We have a Health Education team of 3 young adults and a Peer Health Education team of 4 youth who conduct presentations and outreach. More about us:
Darlene
I grew up on the streets of Los Angeles, getting into trouble and rep~ing whenever I can. I lived a little but lost a lot. My struggles are my own; going through life as a teenager and then some...I always say, "I never forget where I came from, because it's made me who I am today." Who am I today? I am 26 years young, mother of two beautiful boys and one diva-in-the-making; family is #1 to me. I love dancing (when nobody is watching), and rolling up in a warm blanket to watch a good flick. My passion is working with youth and raising my kids to be strong individuals. I have been working with youth for about 7 years now. I love working with youth who are often labeled as "trouble makers," not necessarily to change who they are, but just to say that there is more to life that we don't often see.
Mike
I'm Mike, or Mikey depending on which friends are calling me. I like "Mike" better. I'm 17 and I've lived in South Central, Ca all my life. Currently, I attend FREE LA, a school for youth organizers. I'm awesome at everything I do. I like going to the arcade and eating VEGAN food with people that can put up with me. I also like to play guitar or write when im alone. Zombie movies are starting to consume my free time and punk shows steal my weekends. I listen to all kinds of music , but right now im going through a D-beat, Goregrind , and Black Metal phase. Soy xSouthxCentralxHardcorex (haha) SIEMPRE. Hi, my name is Carlos and I am first generation Mexican American. I was born and raised in Rialto, CA, and moved to Los Angeles about 4 years ago. I have a small 4 lb female Terrier/Chihuahua mix that I rescued from the animal shelter. I enjoy and love various aspects of my life. As a Health Educator, I enjoy being able to provide sexually comprehensive information to youth who are the adults of tomorrow. I very much enjoy working for a non-profit organization that understands that "Health care is a right - not a privilege," and I know that as an employee, I do my part in keeping Los Angeles healthy. One thing that I love about my life is having cool down-to-earth people around me all the time. I also am a part-time DJ (DJ Los of Club Ultraluxx) in the Electro-pop and Indie scene. My name is Natalie. I'm 17 years old. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, though I've moved around a lot. I am still trying to figure out exactly who I am. I'm not so sure what I am going to be or do in the future. I would like to pursue a career in the fashion industry as a stylist or do hair and makeup for photo and runway shows. I have an obsession with anything artistic. I love music, which can range from hardcore, indie, new wave, 80's, to mainstream and underground hip hop to oldies. I enjoy painting and making collages, basically blending colors and texts together to create something visually pleasing, whether its on a canvas with paint or with makeup on someone's face. I enjoy playing video games and watching movies. I can be shy at times, but when I'm not I'm loud. I love getting shoes, clothes, bags, makeup, and perfume. I like being around people with a sense of humor.

Hey everyone! I'm Malik. I'm 16 years old and I attend the Hollywood High School Performing Arts Magnet. I'm extremely infatuated with dance and movement, and am currently working towards being a professional dancer. I dance with the Equinox Youth Dance Company at my school and love every minute of it. I?m mixed with a whole bunch of things, so you can call me a mutt. I'm loud, crazy, extroverted and fun. I'm into almost everything, including dance, pop, R&B, powerpop, alternative, indie, ambient, oldies, and 80?s. I love to talk. A lot.

I grew up in the San Francisco bay area and spent the last couple of years in Rhode Island before moving out to Los Angeles this summer to continue learning and growing.
